Be Aware: Coronavirus and Chicken Has NO Linkage

Coronavirus – a name that has literally created havoc in China and in many parts of the world including India. The outbreak is showing no signs of slowing, with almost 40,000 affected cases and deal toll crossing 900. Seriously! Many innocent lives have paid a huge cost because of it. India also confirmed a few cases in the state of Kerala soon after the outbreak happened. Respective authorities, ministries and doctors have been giving valuable inputs about what it is and how to prevent it. But, amidst all this, someone on social media posted that Coronavirus has been found in boiler chicken and made an appeal to refrain from consuming it. This post went viral on social media with such a lightning speed that people actually believed it and stopped having chicken and eggs. However, after investigation this turned out to be a fake post. Even Government of India has confirmed that this is fake news and chicken consumption is completely safe. Someone’s not-so-responsible act of posting content without verification has caused a severe damage to poultry business. When speaking to ABB Majha in an interview, Vijay Bhosale, owner of Yojana Poultry Pvt. Ltd, told that due to this fake post, poultry business has went down by 35-40%. He further added that they have brought this to the notice to Pune Cyber Crime branch and have asked them to take strict actions against respective people. 

We confirm that there is no linkage between boiler chicken and coronavirus and make an appeal to you to not believe in such news without any authentic proof.
